Stunning upper half of Victorian villa in the heart of the Scottish Borders in the picturesque town of Melrose within walking distance of the some of the most stunning scenery of the area.
Walkers, cyclists, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts all very welcome!
Stunning 3 bedroom upper conversion of a Victorian villa. The property is situated in the desirable village of Melrose in the heart of the Scottish Borders. It is within walking distance of the town, with its boutique shops and Melrose Abbey. In addition, the River Tweed is only a few minutes walk, as are the Eildon Hills and numerous other famous walks. The property boasts 2 large double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, a family bathroom, sitting room with stunning views of the Eildons and a large kitchen diner. In addition, there is a separate downstairs WC and utility room with ample space for leaving boots, bags and sporting equipment. The property has a private garden to the front and private parking on site, including a garage.
Melrose is famous, not only for its ruined abbey and legendary Eildon Hills which rise above the town, but also for the variety of its shops and the quality of its restaurants. Walkers will be pleased to hear that they are within half a mile of the Southern Upland Way, while St Cuthbert's Way actually starts in Melrose and ends in Lindisfarne. Fishermen have the Tweed within a stone's throw as well as many well-stocked lochs in the vicinity. The 9-hole golf course in Melrose is laid out on the side of the Eildon Hills and is one of many excellent courses in this area. Melrose also has tennis courts in the park and there is riding 4 miles away at Cowdenknowes. Here, too, you are in the middle of rugby country and the Greenyards pitch in Melrose is home to the rugby Sevens game.
