Situated on an idyllic spot on the Solway Firth, this beautiful house is ideally located for an active self-catering break in Dumfries & Galloway. A stylish home from home, Elm Cottage is elegant and fresh with chic furnishings inspired by its seaside location. A great size for a trip with friends or family, the house sleeps up to six adults and two children, with three comfortable and stylish twin bedrooms, and one room with bunk beds that will be particularly popular with children. The large living area boasts comfortable sofas and a traditional wood burning stove and the fully equipped kitchen and dining area is the perfect setting for family meals.Admire the delightful waterside views of the Urr Estuary at Kippford and if you fancy being captain for a day, you can set sail down the estuary from the village itself. The picturesque village of Rockliffe is close by and ideal for a walk to take in the beautiful scenery. Mabie and Dalbeattie forests with their world-class 7stanes mountain biking centres are also just a short drive away. If you are visiting the area on a golfing holiday, the region is well-known for its magnificent courses including nearby championship links course, Southerness.
