Esk Cottage

An attractive semi-detached victorian cottage situated in a quiet location next to the Church, 100 metres from the town centre and within a short distance of the shops and facilities.

Pitlochry, in central Highland Perthshire, is an ideal base for touring or for visiting the well known attractions such as the Festival Theatre, the Hydro Electric Dam, and  the Edradour and Blair Athol Whisky Distilleries. Other attractions, such as The House of Bruar, Blair Castle and the Queens View, are close by and can be reached by car or by the local bus service.Guests can learn more from the information pack in the house, or visit the local Information Centre. The Highland Perthshire ltd website - www.highlandperthshire.org  has excellent details of what to see and do in the area, and where to eat and drink. 

The accommodation offered is on two levels, owner maintained and comprises of a lounge, dining room and kitchen on the lower floor and a double and twin bedroom and bathroom/shower/toilet on the upper floor. The back door/ front door and windows are double glazed and have security locks. The garden to the front of the house overlooks the Church of Scotland (a listed building circa.1884-1888) and the hills beyond. There is off street parking for two cars. A garage offers secure space for bicycles/outdoor equipment and has drying facilities. Gas and electricity is included in the charge. The accommodation is non-smoking and there are no pets allowed. The house is only 50 metres from the local food store and the nearest restaurant is 100 metres away.

The accommodation has gas central heating. The lounge has a feature electric fire and a satellite television/DVD player/video recorder. There is a separate dining room with a hi-fi system on the dresser and a highchair if required. The kitchen has a fridge/ice making compartment, a washing machine and electric over/hob. A grilling machine is on the work top, along with a microwave oven. toaster and kettle. Utensils and crockery are provided. Both bedrooms are equipped with linen/duvets/towels and a travel cot is available. The bathroom has a bath/electric shower/wash hand basin/toilet/electric shaving point. A freezer and tumble drier are located in the garage.

PRICES FOR SEASON 2013 START AT £280 (LOW SEASON) AND RISE TO A MAXIMUM OF £430 IN JULY AND AUGUST

Bookings are accepted in units of complete weeks from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks (minimum 3 days) will be considered, but mainly off season, and at short notice.
