Substantial eco-friendly 3-bedroom log cabin (sleeps 5) nestling in the foothills of the beautiful Monadhliath Mountains. Close to Loch Ness, Inverness, The Cairngorm Mountains and many of the best tourist attractions in the Scottish Highlands.
Peaceful location on a hill farm 9 miles south of Inverness and only a short distance from Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield and the Cairngorms. Ideally located for walking, touring, mountain biking with tremendous opportunities to explore this fascinating part of Scottish Highlands. You can even bring your own horse (paddock and stable provided) to explore the extensive network of forest tracks nearby.
Recently built to a high standard, with the guests' enjoyment and comfort a priority, this modern holiday lodge is heated by renewable energy systems and is fitted with free wi-fi and internet enabled TV systems. Fearnag Lodge comprises modern, comfortable accommodation fitted with up-to-date I.T. systems. Heated by ground source heat pump, solar water heating and a wood burning stove, the log cabin is designed with the environment in mind.
The bright and spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living has direct access on to a covered terrace. The living area is equipped with a 37"flat screen internet enabled TV with surround-sound, blue ray player and skype. Free wi-fi (filtered) will enable you to keep in touch with the outside world. The kitchen has all the usual modern appliances and a solid granite worktop.
There are three bedrooms - one single, one twin and a master bedroom with king-size bed. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, cathedral-style ceiling, 32" Freesat TV (internet enabled) and direct access to a generously sized balcony offering excellent views across open farmland, woodland and the hills of Strathnairn beyond.
Downstairs, the main toilet comprises a large walk-in shower and grab rails for the less mobile. Ground level doors are all wide enough to permit wheelchair access to the single bedroom, kitchen/ dining/ living area, main toilet and front terrace.

Adequate parking is provided adjacent to the log cabin for two cars. Space is available for one horsebox.
A well stocked local shop (1.25 miles) provides newspapers, basic grocery needs and a very friendly welcome to all visitors to Strathnairn. The local hotel (2 miles) serves meals to non-residents. A wide variety of restaurants and shops are available in Inverness (15 minute drive).

Price per week £375 - £850. Short breaks from £225 (Sat-Tues/ Tues-Sat). Electricity, bed linen, towels, travel cot, high chair, internet access and first supply of logs for stove - all included in price. Horses accommodated in adjacent paddock (with stable for 2 horses) at a rate of £35/week per horse.
