Welcome to Fernbank Guest House - home of Linda and David Catterson (Prestwick's most experienced B&B operators) for the last 16 years. A friendly Scottish welcome awaits you in our delightful, red sandstone Edwardian villa.

Despite being perhaps the best value B&B in Prestwick (call direct for child discounts), all of our Guest bedrooms have WC and high pressure showers, as well as Digital- LCD TV, hairdryer, hospitality tray, radio alarm and central heating.

All rooms now benefit from additional, sound excluding glazing and a state-of-the-art fire detection and alarm system.

Breakfast is taken in our delightfully refurbished Dining room and is available for only £5.00 per adult Guest (£3.00 per child). This great value option includes not only a range of cereals, tea/coffee/toast, juices and savouries/muffins, but also a full Scottish breakfast too.

With free, off-road parking during your stay, we are superbly well-placed for the International Airport(1 Km), and all of Ayrshire and Prestwick's many attractions, including the many excellent local golf courses.

We also have Internet access, both wired (in lounge) and wireless (throughout the house).
No price increases since 2009.

Road Directions

From the North follow the A78 (coastal) or the M77/A77 from Glasgow. From the South (M74) take junction 12 and the A70. Follow all of these routes to Prestwick International Airport. Then follow directions 'Getting there by aeroplane' below

Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- From Ayr Tourist Information Centre continue along Sandgate until roundabout, turn right into Fort st. continue until next roundabout, turn right until end then left over River bridge. At next traffic lights turn right and first left at next roundabout by police station. Continue on for three miles into Prestwick passing Centrum ice rink on the right and eventually Fernbank guest house is beside a church with a large steeple.

Getting there by railway:- From Prestwick Town one stop beyond Prestwick Airport, walk up slight hill to junction, turn right. Fernbank is a 5 minute walk and is situated on corner of Main Street and Bellevue Road. Taxis are available from the Station

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Prestwick Airport turn left until roundabout, turn right for Prestwick town, Fernbank is 0.5 miles on left by church with large steeple. Prior to house, turn left on Bellevue Road. Private parking accessed by lane behind house on the right. From Glasgow Airport (Paisley), take M8 towards Glasgow and follow M77 to Kilmarnock and Prestwick Airport. Alternatively, take train from Paisley Gilmour Street to Ayr, alighting at Prestwick Town.

Getting there by ferry:- From Troon head South on coast road, towards Prestwick, follow signs to Prestwick Airport then proceed as from airport. Total journey 10 minutes. From Stranraer follow signs to Ayr. Remain on A77 to bypass Ayr and follow signs to Prestwick Airport. Total journey one and a half hours.
