Torridon in the north West Highlands of Scotland is one of the most scenic places on earth. With its spectacular mountains,magnificent sea lochs and islands that sit in turquoise blue waters, it is indeed a magical place. The owners of this stunningly situated guest house have spent many years walking and exploring this amazing area. Ferroch the guest house sits elevated on the side of a mountain giving spectacular views of Loch Torridon and its mountains.. If you are a walker/ climber/ photographer/ fisherman/ nature lover or a stressed out soul you will not escape the magic of this place. Ferroch is a converted croft house lovingly restored by its owners Peter and Gina. Comfort and homely hospitality tops the list of credentials along with log fires, boot room, drying room and all en-suite bedrooms. Our cosy guest lounge has a sit by the log fire and while your time away if you can stay away from the view that is. Peter and Gina have spent 15 years in the food industry so home cooking is a passion rather than a chore. With stunning vies from all windows this house is cosily domesticated and refreshingly uncomplicated. The garden is a delightful controlled ramble of natures own with carefully placed seats for you to take in the view and listen to the sound of the running burn. Worry not about dreaded midge as the owners have invested in a midge machine that makes the garden almost midge free. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated in the colours that reflect the scenery around them and with manes like braken, heather and loch you can chose your favourite colour. The activities around this area are many and varied. Golf courses within 30 miles, gardens and National Trust sites, the north side of the loch being National Trust. Munro bagging (7 in the area) most can be climbed from the cottage. Fishing in the mountain lochs (trout like you have never tasted) Archery, Falconery, and clay shooting, boat trips and a new ferry service to Skye just 30 miles away. Stained glass, pottery, knitwesr and jewellery provide retail therapy without the stress. Fresh Seafood galore surround these shores should you wish to eat out, with the Ben Damph bar just 1/4 mile stroll away. It seems all of like is here. If you don't come to Torridon you will never know, if you do come to Torridon you will never forget.
