Sitting at the heart of Stromness, gateway to the Orkney Islands, The Ferry Inn specialises in good food, great drinks, chat, crack and a comfortable overnight stay. For over 30 years the bar and restaurant have been a focal point for the community of Stromness.Recently relaunched under new ownership the Ferry has an enviable reputation for hospitality and service.
The Ferry Inn and Harbourside House annex has 17 comfortable ensuite rooms and provides all day bar and meal service from a fantastic harbourfront position.
Situated at the heart of Stromness the Ferry Inn is just a stone's throw from the NorthLink ferry terminal and a minute's walk from the award winning Pier Gallery.
The restaurant specialises in fresh local seafood and beef, with daily landings of lobster, scallops and crab from the town's busy home fleet.
Orkney cask ales feature strongly on the bar, with 10 casks racked and 5 handpulls on the go at any time.
The islands' Scapa and Highland Park single malts sit comfortably alongside a modern cocktail list and well balanced winelist.
