Set on the spectacular West Coast of Harris with panoramic views over the white sands of Seilebost beach, which is 200m from the house and the island of Taransay beyond. A bright spacious, open plan living area furnished to the highest standard. The house is built over two floors, with 180 degree views from the top floor, and blends traditional materials which reflect the Hebridean landscape and a modern relaxed interior. The upper floor is given over to an open plan living area with a large covered balcony. Sink into the plush sofa with a book, in front of the wood-burning stove or enjoy a drink while watching the shifting colours of the beach or the glorious sunsets from the first-floor deck. The house has the latest audio-visual equipment installed along with satellite broadband if you feel the need to stay in touch with the outside world. There is a range of books, DVDs and games to keep the kids amused. There is a fully equipped-kitchen and large dining table to satisfy healthy appetites from a day exploring the beaches and mountains. Downstairs are two comfortable bedrooms: one with a king size bed and built-in wardrobes and the second with twin beds. A fold-away bed is available if needed. The bathroom has a large deep bath, for those that enjoy a soak and separate invigorating shower. There is a large fully equipped utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Short breaks accepted Nov-Mar. The open plan upper floor and balcony means that it is best suited for children over five years of age. If you have younger children, please give us a call to ensure it meets your needs and theirs. Breathtaking Luskentyre beach, widely held to be one of the most picturesque beaches in the British Isles lies across the inlet, and is accessible with care at low tide. The Isle of Harris golf course is 5 minutes down the coast in Scarista. Bring your walking boots, bikes or kayaks to really take advantage of all South Harris has to offer or charter a boat to get a close-up look at the wildlife which inhabit the seas around the island.
