Overview

Located in the peaceful residential area of Upper Tobermory, yet only 5 minutes walk to the Main Street, with its colourful shops and harbour, Fireach is a property full of character and charm. The cottage starred as 'Spencer the Painter's House' in the children's tv series 'Balamory'. Tastefully furnished throughout, the cottage makes an ideal holiday base from which to explore the magical Isle of Mull. Sleeping 4 the cottage is ideal for couples or families and a cot and high chair are available if required.

Sit in the mature, colourful, enclosed private garden at the rear of the property, enjoying the bird song and partial sea views over Tobermory Bay to the Morvern Hills beyond.

Stroll down to the restaurants, shops and harbour on the Main Street, visit local artist Angus Stewart's gallery across the road or the An Tobar Arts Centre round the corner. Take an eco cruise from the harbour to look for dolphins, porpoises, whales and basking sharks or join an island wildlife tour looking for the white tailed sea eagles, golden eagles and otters. The spacious cottage has a cosy lounge with 2 leather settees, freesat tv, dvd player and an adjacent snug area with additional seating, WiFi hub and a cd player/radio. The modern bright kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and a good selection of pans, casserole dishes and crockery. The sunny and bright dining area has a large picture window overlooking the lovely garden. There is also a utility room housing the washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, an internal drying area and a rotary dryer in the garden.

The large master bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be made into twin beds if required. The second bedroom has a double bed and picture window overlooking the garden.

The bathroom has an electric mira shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. There is also an additional cloakroom with second toilet and handbasin.

The mature private garden has seating areas with outdoor furniture.There is on street parking outside the cottage.

The property is heated by modern storage heaters with additional wall convector heaters in the lounge, bedrooms and bathroom. There is also an electric stove in the lounge.

Games, jigsaws, cds, dvds, maps and walking books are provided for guests to use.

The cottage is available for weekly bookings (Saturday to Saturday) and the 2012 tariff ranges from £445 to £495. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price.
