Set in an idyllic situation on a working farm, a short drive from Turriff, Garden Cottage is a light, bright, modern and immaculately presented spacious home away from home which has been decorated in neutral colours throughout.
Garden Cottage is a lovely centrally heated detached cottage that welcomes returning guests year after year. The cottage is double glazed, very cosy and extremely well equipped.
Ideal for families, couples or a group of friends, Garden Cottage is situated on a family run working farm. The cottage has a private entrance, ample parking and a lovely landscaped garden laid mainly to lawn - ideal for children to play safely.
The large open-plan living/kitchen/dining area has a wood burning stove (logs are supplied), a flat screen TV (with Freeview), video, DVD player and music centre. Doors from the lounge lead onto the patio, which is in full sun for most of the day, where you can relax on the garden furniture while you enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and electric cooker. The crockery is neutral and the cupboards house plenty of pots, pans, serving dishes and glassware. Fresh flowers and a Welcome Basket containing bread, butter, eggs, biscuits and wine will be in the cottage for your arrival as well as tea, coffee and milk. Extra groceries can of course be requested prior to your arrival, at an additional cost.
The utility room, off the kitchen, has a washing machine and separate dryer and there is also an outdoor drying area.
The cottage has two bedrooms; one is a double and the other a twin, plus a sofa bed in the living area, sleeping up to six in comfort. We can also provide a fold up bed and cot.
Garden Cottage is well situated for exploring castles, tucked away coastal fishing villages and beautiful long sandy beaches. You can follow the Whisky Trails, play golf at one of the excellent nearby courses or enjoy some great fishing and shooting. All are within easy reach.
Pack a picnic (there's a basket for your use in the cottage) and enjoy the beautiful nearby beaches which include Balmedie, Inverboyndie, Cullen, Fraserburgh, Banff, Findhorn and Hopeman.
The nearby towns of Turriff and Banff have excellent restaurants and the village of Pennan, where scenes from Local Hero were filmed, is a short drive away.
