From the nearest information centre:- From Fort William, take A82 south to Corran Ferry (15min drive) then once across the ferry take turn left onto A861 through Acharacle and Mingarry. Garmoran Square is second on the right. Approx 50mins from the Corran ferry

Or, take A82 North, turn onto A830 at Lochybridge junction after approx 30mins, turn left at A861 junction just after the Lochailort Inn onto Mingarry a further 30mins drive. Garmoran Square is second last on left hand side.

Getting there by railway:- The Glasgow to Fort William line continues on to Lochailort. From Lochailort Station take Sheil bus to Acharacle asking to be dropped off at Garmoran Square.

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow Airport follow M8 towards Erksine Bridge and Greenock. Leave M8 at exit 30. Follow A82 for Crainlarich and Fort William. 6 miles south of Fort William take Corran Ferry. Once over ferry follow signs for Salen, Acharacle and onto Mingarry. Travelling time from airport approximately 3 hours.

Getting there by ferry:- From Corran Ferry follow signs for Kilchoan. Pass through Strontian, Salen, Acharacle and onto Mingarry. Travelling time from ferry approximately 50mins. Road is single track with passing places from Strontian onwards.


The Corran Ferry runs at the quarter past and quarter too on the Corran side and the o'clock and half past on the Argour side. The ferry starts at 6.40am and runs until 9.30pm the cost for a crossing is £6.40, the crossing is approx 5mins. (note: ferry start at 8.30am on a Sunday)
