Garmoran Square

Garmoran Square offers the best of both worlds - a rural getaway amid spectacular west coast scenery but with contemporary city-chic on the accommodation front.

Garmoran Square offers the best of both worlds - a rural getaway amid spectacular west coast scenery but with contemporary city-chic on the accommodation front. Surrounded by stunning Mountain Views.

Garmoran Square has been designed and finished to the highest standard of luxury, a unique and sumptuous base to explore the West Highlands. It comprises of four self catering cottages that have been designed to form a traditional courtyard from the front but with a modern twist maximizing the mountain views at the rear through the huge floor to ceiling windows and internal12ft ceilings.

The 4 & 5 star cottages have a traditional-looking croft exterior that is sympathetic to its surroundings and gives lie to the luxurious, contemporary interiors. The properties MacRuairi, Shiel, Tioram and Somerled sleep 2,4,6 and 6 people or up to 18 if taken as a whole - all bedrooms with en suite shower or bath room. Ideal for couples, families, walking groups, wildlife parties, and group accommodation situated in Mingarry, Moidart, and gateway to Ardnamurchan, on the picturesque west coast of the Scottish Highlands just one hour from Fort William and within easy reach of the Isle of Mull, Mallaig, Ardnamurchan and the Isle of Skye. Whether in the Highlands for the scenery, outdoors, history or just to get away, Garmoran Square can offer it all  -  a truly great holiday and warm Highland welcome awaits you.

Each cottage is unique and has been tastefully decorated with quality fixtures and fittings throughout to ensure your stay is luxurious. Open fires/log burners, solid oak/slate floors, satellite TV, DVDs, CD player, spa baths and controllable under floor heating throughout and with fantastic 12ft ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that frame the stunning scenery.  All bedrooms are en suite, with either bath with over head power shower or walk in power shower. All cottages have a drying room or area for outdoor clothing and equipment, plus a shared outdoor bike shed is provided. Pets welcome by prior arrangement only. On arrival you will find a supply of coal and logs for the fires, all beds made up with quality cotton linen, bath sheets, hand towels and face clothes in the bathrooms and high chairs and cots are available if required. Also in each cottage you will find maps, local area walking books binoculars, I pod docking stations with speakers and BBQ's and hair dryers and alarm clocks in each bedroom.

With kitchens that have coffee makers, food processor, hand blenders, food mixers, and many, many utensils, you can make dinner as complicated or easy as you like and with Highland stoneware crockery to showcase your culinary skills.

Each cottage has its own deck area with outside garden furniture and BBQ, where you can enjoy some alfresco dining and watch the deer in the field next door. At night marvel at our starry sky as there is no light population in Moidart due to there being no street lights.  Enjoy all this within a well maintained garden that is fenced and gated.

Upon arrival you are greeted with a welcome hamper with essential goods and luxury local treats. Master bedrooms have fluffy bathrobes and spa products.

This unique sumptuous base for exploring Ardnamurchan, Moidart and Lochaber - the Outdoor Capital of the UK - and a fabulous retreat for those looking to escape the stresses of city life. Five minutes drive from a bakery, grocers, tearoom, hotels, pubs and a restaurant offering great quality food using local produce - life as it used to be but blended with modern convenience.

All this set in an idyllic, scenic, rural location, steeped in history, fantastic for walks, cycling, wildlife, fishing and boat trips. Where you can see eagles, otters, deer, seal, read squirrel’s, heron’s and plus much more, with many great walks from 20min strolls to all day expeditions and many starting at Garmoran Square or just a short drive away.

Come enjoy this rural beauty in luxury -  a truly great holiday and warm Highland welcome awaits you.  Please visit our website for more details
