Georgefield Cottage & Beech Cottage

Set on a working farm in the heart of rural Dumfries & Galloway in the picturesque scenery of the Esk Valley, just 7 miles from the historic town of Langholm, these two country cottages provide the perfect rural retreat.

Offering home-from-home comforts Georgefield Cottage is a traditional single-storey self-catering cottage which has been carefully restored with your comfort in mind. Sleeping six people, each of the three homely bedrooms, one double and two twin, are tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and quality bedding. The modern bathroom has an over-bath shower and a separate toilet and hand basin. The spacious open-plan dining room and modern kitchen is fully fitted, with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. After an adventurous day exploring, relax in the homely sitting room with its television and video and French doors leading out to the pretty gardens and patio.

Also sleeping six people, Copper Beech Cottage is a recently restored ground floor barn conversion. With its spacious rooms including a large wet room with shower, it's perfect for a family and provides easy access for those with mobility difficulties. The three large bedrooms, one double and two twin, all have comfortable beds. The lounge, with its cosy open fire, large settee and TV, provides the perfect place to unwind. The modern kitchen is superbly equipped with a built-in oven and hob with extractor, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and lots of storage space. Children and pets are welcome at both of the cottages, and a cot and high chair are always available on request.

Located just a short drive from Gretna Green, Langholm is brimming with fascinating history, natural beauty and a wealth of wildlife. Cyclists and walkers will be in their element exploring the quiet country roads, dense forests and waymarked routes. Anglers can enjoy reasonably priced quality fishing spots by the swift-flowing Esk and Liddle rivers. If you are planning a golfing break you are within easy reach of the region's 32 fantastic golf courses.
