Overview

Our 20 bedrooms are all newly refurbished, with 18 en suite shower-toilet rooms and 2 private shower-toilet rooms. We have singles, doubles, twins and family rooms. One room is fully wheelchair accessible, with roll-in shower. Wheelchair access also to the dining room. Continental self service breakfast.

Our large garden with its apple trees offers complete tranquillity. We welcome small groups. Parking available.

Gillis is set in a leafy residential area within walking distance of shops, restaurants and pubs, cinemas and theatre. There is a good bus service to Princes Street, the Museum of Scotland and the Royal Mile. Blackford Hill is nearby, with walks and unrivalled views.

We have six meeting rooms and welcome both day time and residential conferences.

Gillis is part of the Roman Catholic Church, and beside the house is the beautiful St Margaret's Chapel.
