The house sits in a quiet and peaceful location within its own grounds away from the main road looking down towards the world famous Loch Lomond (the biggest loch in the UK). The views from the shores of Loch Lomond are breathtaking, and even more impressive from the peak of Ben Lomond (height of 974 m, 3,193 ft), which can be climbed from Rowardennan.

    Breakfast is normally served daily in our dining room at your own table between 8am and 9am. There is plenty of choice, allowing you to have a different breakfast every morning if you like. You can choose a full traditional Scottish breakfast or something lighter and there is always freshly baked bread and scones available.

    There are a variety of hotels and restaurants close by and we are happy to make dinner reservations on your behalf. Our local restaurant which is a 10 minute walk from the house is an old converted church, serving traditional Scottish cuisine.     Road Directions

    From Glasgow, follow the M8 west bound, crossing the Erskine Bridge and heading towards Crainlarich and Loch Lomond. Continue along the A82 by passing Dumbarton, Balloch and Luss. Once in Tarbet, turn right at the Tarbet Hotel where signposted for the A82 towards Crainlarich. After 100 metres take the second on your left (after Still Brae) onto a private road and Glebe House is 50 yards up the lane, look out for the sign on the tree.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From Tarbet Information Centre take A82 north. Glebe House is approximately 100 metres from the centre just past the Tarbet hotel on the A82. After 100 metres take the second on your left.

    Getting there by railway:- Leaving Arrochar and Tarbet station turn left towards the village of Tarbet. Follow main road as far as the Tarbet Hotel. Turn left at the hotel on the A82 signposted Crainlarich. After 100 metres take the second on your left (after Still Brae) onto a private road and Glebe House is 50 yards up the lane, look out for the sign on the tree.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow Airport: Follow M8 to Greenock. Left to Erskine Bridge (M898). Cross bridge, follow signs to Crianlarich (A82). Continue to Tarbet passing Luss and Inverbeg. Turn right at Tarbet Hotel and continue foward along the lochside on the A82 signposted for Crainlarich, After 100 metres take the second on your left (after Still Brae) onto a private road and Glebe House is 50 yards up the lane, look out for the sign on the tree.
