    Glen Nevis Youth Hostel is the largest and longest established youth hostel in the Glen Nevis/Fort William area. Hosting hill walkers, climbers and backpackers at the foot of Britain's highest mountain since 1933, it has a proven track record of providing quality budget accommodation for individuals, families and groups wishing to visit the area.

    All rooms, private or shared, have spectacular mountain views. The youth hostel also boasts a superb newly refurbished kitchen and lounge, making it the cosiest place to relax with friends or family. The hostel offers full catering for those who prefer to take the hassle out of getting a meal ready after a long day on the hills and also has a great selection of beers and wines. With spacious bathrooms, accommodation for groups, families and independent travellers from around the world, Glen Nevis Youth Hostel is never without a great atmosphere and you are sure to make a friend or two.

    Conveniently situated close to the end of Scotland's most famous long distance walk, the West Highland Way, and only three miles from the start of the Great Glen Way, Glen Nevis Youth Hostel is ideal for hiking, skiing, biking or simply touring the stunning Lochaber area.

    Road Directions

    From Fort William follow the A82 to the mini roundabout and continue straight ahead for Glen Nevis. The youth hostel is 3 miles along this road and past the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the Tourist Information Centre turn right along High Street and right again at the main road (past the hospital). At the roundabout take the Glen Nevis turn. The youth hostel is 3 miles along the road.

    Getting there by bus: There is an extremely limited bus service during winter months, more frequent during the summer.

    Getting there by rail: From Fort William station turn left and walk along main road (A82) for approximately 1 mile to the next mini roundabout and  take the Glen Nevis turn off. The youth hostel is 3 miles along this road on the right, past the campsite.

    Getting there by air: From Glasgow International Airport by bus via A82 Loch Lommond.
