Overview
A settlement has existed here since 1300s when it is known there was a church dedicated to St Kessog, who lived here seven hundred years earlier. The Luss you see today owes much to the local land owners the Colqhouns who lived near by in Rossdhu Castle which is now the famous Loch Lomond Golf Club. In the early 1800s they rebuilt much of the village, in part to house workers for the nearby slate quarries.Slate no longer features in the local economy. What now continues to drive the economy is tourism and Glen View comes out on its own in this tourist village. The bedrooms are luxury with beautiful marble bathrooms and private sitting area guest lounge and dining room. We are 2mins walk from the Lochside.We are open all year. Park your car and walk to a choice of 4 different restaurants. Walk to Lochside and board boat taxi which will take you to a choice of islands take you to Balloch ,Lomond Shores,board a train to Glasgow.
