Glencoe Mountain Cottages

Experience and enjoy the Scottish Mountains from your doorstep. Glencoe Mountain Cottages offer good quality, self catering accommodation, in the heart of Glencoe's majestic mountain scenery.

Accommodation is provided in two fully equipped cottages, each sleeping 6 people in three bedrooms. The cottages are located one mile along a farm track, from the main A 82 road, in historic Gleann Leac na Muidhe.

Ideally situated for both the outdoor enthusiast and as a centre for touring the sea lochs and glens of Lochaber and Argyll, Glencoe Mountain Cottages offer you a truly tranquil home base. Outdoor activity opportunities are plentiful. Walking, mountaineering, mountain biking, sailing, ice climbing and winter skiing, to name just a few, are all available locally.

Your hosts, Christine and David Baker, welcome you to this magical, secluded and breathtaking location. With 40 years of mountaineering experience in the Highlands, and having completed all his Munro's, Tops and Furths, David is always happy to share his wealth of knowledge of the surrounding hills.

With so much to see and do in the area, we know you won't be disappointed by your visit, whatever time of the year you choose.

At Glencoe Mountain Cottages we provide accommodation in two cottages, each sleeping six, in three bedrooms The bedrooms consist of one double room, one large twin bedded room and one room with adult size bunk beds.

Each of our cottages has fully equipped kitchens, including a washing
machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave as well as a conventional oven. Iron and ironing boards are also provided.

The living/dining room has patio doors overlooking the garden. A television, DVD player and CD/Radio are provided. A small selection of DVD and CD's, books and games, are provided.

Outdoor furniture, including a barbeque, is provided for those Al Fresco moments, especially the very long daylight evenings in the summer.

Heating and hot water are both electric and the electricity used is charged at current standard Hydro-Electric rates at the end of your stay.
The water for the cottages comes fresh from a natural mountain spring and is UV filtered.

All bed linen and towels are provided at no additional cost, along with tea towels and J-cloths in the kitchen. For our very young visitors, a cot and high chair are available on request but bed linen for the cot needs to be provided by our guests.

As we are situated peacefully, one mile up a farm track, we have ample off road car parking space, available next to the cottages.

We welcome well behaved dogs, with a maximum of two per cottage, but they must be kept under strict control at all times and never left alone in the cottages.

We recognise the fact that not everyone wishes to holiday as a group and we therefore offer a discount for two person occupancy.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or queries. We would be delighted to hear from you.
