It is situated close to major motorway networks, and is within easy driving distance of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and the Trossachs.
The City of Stirling, known as the brooch of Scotland, provides the perfect holiday base offering a combination of vibrant city life, with proximity to Scotland's first National Park, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs - some of the most spectacular countryside in Scotland.
From its rocky crag overlooking the Forth Valley - the site of seven great battles - Stirling Castle is surely one of Scotland's grandest attractions. Little wonder that, after several Kings left their mark, the castle is an outstanding example of medieval and Renaissance architecture. Follow the gaze of the kings to survey the surrounding area that shaped Scotland's history. William Wallace won a spectacular victory over the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. Discover his tactics at the dramatic National Wallace Monument, home to his massive two-handed broadsword.
Stirling is also Scotland's newest City with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes.
