Glenernan Self Catering Cottages

Quietly located and 5 minutes stroll to the centre of the village with shops and restaurants, Glenernan self catering cottages have been tastefully furnished to a very high standard throughout. Please do contact us direct for any further information.

The cottages each have one double bedroom, ensuite shower/wet room and kitchen/living room. Electricity, all bed linen and towels are included in the price. Private off street parking and patio areas overlooking beautiful garden. LCD TV,DVD player, Hi-Fi. No smoking, pets or children. We are open all year. Free Wi-Fi access in both cottages. Glenernan self catering cottages are newly converted from old servants' quarters and are situated in the grounds of Glenernan Guest House in the beautiful village of Ballater on Royal Deeside and within minutes of excellent restaurants and shops. Renowned for its royal connections and just 7 miles from Balmoral Castle, Ballater lies between the meandering River Dee and the steep cliffs of Craigendarroch and is an ideal base for hillwalking, cycling, fishing, golf, skiing, historic castles and the Malt Whisky Trail. Being within the Cairngorms National Park there is an abundance of breathtaking scenery from mountains to rivers and lochs to glens and there is an excellent network of walking paths and cycle tracks that lead out of the village which provide a variety of routes catering for all abilities.
The cottages are tastefully furnished to a very high standard, with extra attention to detail, and boast a flat screen LCD TV, DVD Player, Stereo radio/CD and free WiFi access. A double bedroom sleeps 1 or 2 with an ensuite full wet room with underfloor heating,and there is a well equipped kitchen with full cooker, microwave and fridge freezer situated at one end of the large lounge/diner. A leather reclining sofa will help you relax after a busy day. Efficient electric panel heaters ensure the cottages are cosy and warm when necessary. Each cottage has patio doors leading from the lounge that open onto a patio area and a garden table and chairs is provided for outside relaxing and dining in the better weather. Superb views of Craigendarroch, the Hill of Oaks, are possible, from the summit of which there are wonderful views across the valleys to Lochnagar and Mount Keen. The cottages front onto a delightful garden with many species of birds visiting the feeders from dawn until dusk. The cottages are ideal for those wishing to stay in Ballater a little longer, and explore Royal Deeside and beyond, or for those wishing to be more independent. Both are less-abled friendly and have their own private parking space and are available for weekly let all year and for short breaks during the off season.
