Our elegant, traditional, stone built, Victorian villa, set in beautifull, peaceful grounds, within the Cairngorms National Park, has acquired an enviable reputation for comfort and quality and has recently achieved the Taste Our Best Award by VisitScotland. Glengarry is surrounded by beautiful scenery, all within easy walking distance of the house.  Locally we have the Award Winning Highland Folk Museum containing a 1700's township through to a 1930's farm and school.  Ruthven Barracks a British Army outpost during the 1700's is well worth a visit.    For wildlife lovers there is the Highalnd Wildlife Park where you will see, Polar Bears, Amur Tigers, Wolves and numerous other wild animals.  You will see Red Deer and Red Squirrels around the Kingussie area  - we have our own red squirrel who appears around breakfast time.  The world famous Insh Marsh Nature Reserve is a short walk from Glengarry and we are set in some of Scotland's best walking and climbing country.   The Cairngorm mountain has the highest restaurant in Scotland.  Kingussie is very central for touring the Moray Coast, Aberdeenshire, the Western Highlands, Sutherland and Caithness, all within a days travel.  Spend a day travelling the Speyside Whisky trail tasting some of Scotland's finest malt whiskies.   If you are interested in history then you are spoilt for choice with Cawder, Ballindalloch and Urquhart Castles, and the famous Culloden Battlefield all within one hour or Glengarry.   As a member of Scotland's Best B&Bs we aim to give our guests a memorable stay.

    Public Transport Directions

    Approaching from the North drive through Kingussie to a  set of traffic lights, turn right into Ardbroilach Road.  Proceed up the hill  and turn right into East Terrace.  Glengarry is  approximately 200 metres on the left.

    Approaching from the South drive into Kingussie to a set of traffic lights, turn left into Ardbroilach Road.  Proceed up the hill and turn right into East Terrace.  Glengarry is approximately 200 metres on the left.

    Getting there by railway:- From Kingussie railway station proceed straight ahead for 200 metres, turn right into the high street turn left at traffic lights and first right into East Terrace, Glengarry is approximately 200 metres along on the left.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh airport proceed west on the A8 to Broxburn roundabout, take M9 to Forth road bridge, take M90 signposted Perth for approx 32 miles. At Perth follow A9 to Kingussie Approx 70 miles. Take the Northern exit off the A9 turn left at the junction and proceed along the High Street to Traffic Lights. Turn right and go 100 metres up the hill and turn right into East Terrace, and Glengarry is 400 metres on the left."
