Glenmore Holidays

Overview

Each of our distinctive houses is situated in its own secluded grounds within a 500 acre farm. We raise Highland Cattle, Highland ponies and sheep. We are also recognised as a Special area for conservation.
Glenmore House is a former traditional hunting lodge. It has fine views of Glenmore Bay and is 5 minutes walk from the sea. The pine-clad sauna with adjacent shower is in addition to the luxury bathroom with whirlpool corner bath. The large farmhouse kitchen can seat 8 and is fully equipped to enable you to relax and enjoy your holiday to the full. There is a separate more formal dining room for a sense of occasion. The lounge is comfortably furnished. The sunroom opens onto the garden with its stone-built barbecue and picnic table.
Formerly the deer stalker's cottage, Glenmore Cottage is compact, cosy and an ideal spot for wildlife watching. The sunroom overlooks a rare stretch of saltmarsh - ideal for watching herons and waders. Red deer regularly graze in the garden and pine martens are not infrequent visitors.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the bright south-facing dining room has lovely views of the bay. The enclosed garden is ideal for young children or a dog.
Otter Lodge is a substantial log house set within its own 10 acre garden, through which runs the Glenmore River. The large conservatory has stunning views of Loch Sunart and the Morvern Hills beyond. It's a great choice for a family holiday or why not just treat yourselves to a romantic break for two.
The sitting room is heated by an open log fire with a river boulder chimney breast. The master bedroom with king size pine bed now includes an en-suite bathroom featuring a whirlpool bath and shower. The windows are deep enough to enable you to enjoy the view from the bath. This truly is a loo with a view! There is an additional family bathroom which also has a whirlpool bath and shower.
