Glenotter is a delightful Art Deco property situated at the West End of Stranraer among colourful gardens and having its own private car park.The three guest bedrooms are all comfortable, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms having colour TV with DVD and hospitality tray. After a good nights sleep, whether you fancy a delicious home-cooked Scottish Breakfast or a lighter option, the breakfast menu offers a whole host of tasty choices, together with your own table in the Breakfast Room which overlooks the front garden.

This is the ideal base for discovering the beautiful region of South West Scotland, whilst also being convenient for ferry passengers using the Stena and P & O Ferries to Ireland from Cairnryan .

Spend days exploring the supers Logan Botanical Gardens and Castle Kennedy, the Stranraer Museum and historic Castle of St John. The area also offers first class cycling and walking routes with Scotland's longest and most challenging walking route the Southern Upland Way starting in the region. For Golf, tee off at Stranraer Golf Club, a testing 18 hole course set in picturesque landscape on the banks of Loch Ryan, as well as other courses in the area. Fishing is also available close by. If you choose to take a more leisurely approach then enjoy the spectacular coast line, visit the most southerly point in Scotland at the Mull of Galloway, discover the wild life, or simply relax in the peace and tranquility the region has to offer.

Road Directions

Arriving in Stranraer from the East ( A75 ) follow the road ahead passing Morrisons Supermarket on the right continuing into the one way traffic system at the end of which is a Mini roundabout. Follow th road ahead up the hill ( Sun Hill ) passing the 'High Kirk ' ( Church ) on the right and then a school also on the right. A little further on pass a road on the left called Spring Bank Road and then take the next left turn ( The Grove ) which is a cul-de-sac. Continue to the end and drive straight into Glenotter car park.

Arriving in Stranraer from the North ( A77 ) and Stena and P&O Ferry Ports follow the road to the roundabout by the petrol station. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout and follow the A 718 to Leswalt for about 1 mile passing Agnew Park on the right, through a narrow stretch of road (Sheuchan Street ) and up a gentle gradient. On the left are some tall Apartments after which is a junction to the left called Leswalt High Road. Turn left and then first right into The Grove which is a cul-de-sac. Continue to the end and drive straight into Glenotter car park.

Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- From Stranraer TIC take the A718 towards Leswalt. Pass Agnew Park on the right hand side. Carry along the road to Shuchen Street (road very narrow) when you come out at the other end the road widens and as you start climbing the gentle hill you will see some apartments on the left hand side. Immediately after, turn left into Leswalt High Road, take first right turn (The Grove) which is a cul-de-sac. follow the road as far as you can you and you will drive straight into Glenotter car park. d.

Getting there by railway:- From Stranraer Railway Station, turn right at main junction (Stena Terminal), approximately 1 mile along seafront road, passing Agnew Park on right hand. Glenotter Bed and Breakfast, large cream coloured house situated on the left at the junction of Leswalt Road and Leswalt High Road.

Getting there by ferry:- Nearest ferry port is Cairnryan.
