Glenshieling House, Hatton Road, Rattray, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, PH10 7HZ

Glenshieling Lodge is a delightful, cosy cottage situated about a mile from the centre of Blairgowrie.

Glenshieling Lodge sits in the grounds of Glenshieling House in just under 3 acres of garden and woodland. The cottage is equipped and furnished to a very high standard, with its own garden, outside sitting/dining areas and parking space.

There is comfortable accommodation for up to five people to rest and relax in, with a sitting room, kitchen diner, family bedroom, twin bedroom, upstairs bathroom and a ground floor shower room.

Blairgowrie is a mile away and can be reached by a picturesque riverside walk along the river Ericht. From the cottage it is only a 10 minute walk to a starting point for the 64 mile circular route of the Cateran Trail. In town there are butchers, bakers, a fishmonger, a farm shop, coffee places, restaurants, supermarkets and a host of independent shops.

The area is steeped in history and close to Balmoral, Glamis and Scone castles. The cottage is ideally located for exploring Scotland, or for the more active pursuits that the area is so rich in, such as skiing at Glenshee and Perthshire is justifiably popular with golfers, fishermen, walkers and cyclists.

There is also ample to do for young children with an interest in the world around them. Our woodland alone is host to several non-paying guests such as red squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits, an abundance of birds from gold crests to woodpeckers and sparrow hawks and even the very occasional red deer.

We are approximately 80 minutes from Edinburgh airport and 90 minutes from Glasgow and Aberdeen.
