     Mark and Val invite you to stay at Glentorets, a friendly family run establishment with modern and comfortable facilities.

    The warm friendly hosts want to share their home with you the delights the area has to offer including a wee taster of the gentle dram from the local distillery if you wish to try it and a welcome tea/coffee with homemade baking served between 16:00 - 18:00 on your day of arrival.

    Glentorets has uninterrupted beautiful views of Glen Conglass, the Conglass river and local wildlife for you to view whilst you take your breakfast or evening meal here.

    Tomintoul is the highest village in the Scottish Highlands at 356m above sea level and is at the North East gateway to the Cairngorm National Park.

    We are ideally placed for you to enjoy all the best attractions, activities, beautiful scenery, and wildlife that this region can offer. Whether it be walking, cycling, fishing, whisky, history, wildlife, riding, skiing, or relaxation we have it all on our doorstep.

    If you wish to venture further Loch Ness, the Moray Firth coast, Balmoral, Braemar, Inverness, and Aberdeen are all within about an hours drive.

    Road Directions

    Tomintoul can be reached by road from the West on the A939 from Grantown on Spey or on the A939 from the East from Braemar / Ballater; the B9009 from Ballindalloch off the A95 also terminates in Tomintoul.

    From Grantown on Spey Glentorets is signposted by the roadside just before entering Tomintoul and is accessed via the small left turn onto Stuart Place.

     

    From both the Braemar and Ballindalloch routes into Tomintoul Glentorets can be accessed by taking the first right turn opposite the bowls club before you reach main street - signposted as Conglass Lane; follow this road all the way down to the last house on the right hand side.
