Glenview

Self Catering

5 High Street, Kirk Yetholm, Kelso, Roxburghshire, TD5 8PH

    Welcome to Glenview, an attractive cottage in an idyllic setting nestled between the border hills and the Northumberland National Park. Renovated to a high standard combining, comfort, traditional style with a modern twist

    Glenview is a recently restored cottage that is over one hundred and sixty years old. It is situated next to the green in the attractive village of Kirk Yetholm right at the end (or beginning) of the Pennine Way. The cottage has been renovated to an extremely high standard and contains all the luxuries you would expect while maintaining it’s olde worlde charm and cosiness. It has three bedrooms, two with designer ensuite shower rooms and a twin room. Sleeping 6, with the ability to sleep another two on a sofa bed, the cottage is deceptively large. From the moment you arrive and find your welcome pack to having a bath and wrapping yourself in the white cotton bathrobe, you know you’re going to have a relaxing holiday.

    Road Directions

    From Edinburgh
    Follow the A68 (Signposted Jedburgh.). After Soutra, turn left at the roundabout onto the A697. After about 7 miles, turn right onto the A6089 (Signposted Kelso.) Continue into Kelso. Take the first exit at the first roundabout, second exit at the next, first at the next and second at the next. Got that? Sounds like a big town doesn’t it! Go over the big bridge and turn left (Signposted Yetholm.) Continue for 7 miles until you arrive in Town Yetholm. Take the second left. Round the bends, over the bridge, past the church...and at the village green turn right (signposted Halterburn), and Glenview is the fifth cottage on the right.
    From The South (East)
    Follow the A1 past Morpeth and turn left onto the A697. Follow along until....you have two choices;
    Scenic (best not driven in the dark when you’ve had a long journey):- go about a mile and a half beyond Wooler and turn left onto the B6351 (Signposted Kirk Newton). Basically go straight and pick up signs for Yetholm. On arriving in Kirk Yetholm, Glenview is on the far side of the green on your right (going up the hill).
    Still pretty route, (but not as narrow!):- follow the A697 through Wooler and on to Coldstream. Just after Coldstream turn right onto the A698 (Signposted Kelso). As you arrive in Kelso, turn left at the roundabout.
    From the South (West).
    Take the M6 to Carlisle. From Carlisle follow the A7 (Signposted Hawick). In Hawick, pick up signs for the A698 Kelso. Follow this road until you meet the A68. Turn right (Signposted Jedburgh) and shortly after, in a “village” Bonjedward, turn left onto the A698 (Signposted Kelso). After 4 1/2 miles turn right onto the B6401 (the Teviot Smokery is on your right) (Signposted Morebattle). Continue through Morebattle and pick up signs for Yetholm. As you arrive in Town Yetholm go past the green on your left and take the next right (Signposted Kirk Yetholm).Round the bends, over the bridge, past the church...and at the village green turn right (signposted Halterburn), and Glenview is the fifth cottage on the right.
