These enchanting sandstone cottages were built over 150 years ago for the local fishermen and are named after the birds that can often be seen on the nearby estuary. They have been tastefully renovated to a high standard and are exceptionally well-equipped to provide a comfortable, convenient and restful home-from-home experience. Each cottage can sleep up to four people and has its own garden and patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue also provided. Ample free parking is available next to each cottage. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
Although situated in such a peaceful location in the tiny hamlet of Browhouses, right on the Solway Estuary, the cottages are easily accessible, being just four miles from the M6 and M74 motorways. From the lounge window of the cottages you can watch the ever-changing vista of sky, sea and wildlife, and get out and about to make the most of the area with peaceful walks and bike rides. The cottages are less than 4 miles from Gretna Green, where you can get caught up in romantic history and visit the World Famous Old Blacksmiths Shop Centre.
