    Greystone is a cosy cottage with an oil-fired Rayburn to keep away the winter chill and electric heating for the rest of the year. Accommodation comprises double bedroom, twin bedroom, dining room, lounge and kitchen.

    Greystone is a traditional detached single storey cottage that has been tastefully renovated and furnished to provide bright, attractive accommodation in a tranquil, unspoilt setting. Set in its own large garden grounds, surrounded by open farmland with views across to the sea south and west, it offers an ideal opportunity to enjoy a totally unique island holiday experience. Just 12 miles across and no more than 5 miles wide you are never far from the stunning coastline with its selection of beautiful beaches, caves, wildlife and archaeology. Inland, there is a choice of free trout fishing on a number of lochs.

    Road Directions

    Road access is via the A9 north from Perth to the ferry terminals at Gills Bay (www.pentlandferries.co.uk) or Scrabster (www.northlinkferries.co.uk). Second ferry from Kirkwall to Sanday (www.orkneyferries.co.uk)

    Vehicles may be left at either terminal and bus public transport used for all onward travel.
