Overview

Set in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Ballater,Habitat is a modern purpose built hostel .We offer a wide range of rooms to suit families,groups or the independent traveller.The whole hostel can be rented out for groups and family gatherings.

Ballater is a lovely village and is a good base for exploring the Eastern Cairngorms and rural Aberdeenshire.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the village and Ballater has an excellent selection of shops and activity providers

All our bedrooms are en suite ,ranging from eight bed dormitories,four bed family rooms,doubles to single accommodation.All bedding is included.

The hostel has a lovely sitting area with huge sofas, widescreen  TV and a wood burning stove.
The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you need whether cooking for a small family or a large group.
The hostel also has free Wi-Fi access and a good supply of books and games for rainy days or wintery evenings.

We have a great drying room with dehumidifier, washer and tumble dryer.
The hostel is fully wheelchair accessible.
We can provide travel cots, highchairs and baby monitors.

We have secure storage for cycles.
