Habitat is situated in a quiet courtyard near the village centre. It is a purpose built hostel with superb facilities. There are a mix of shared bunkrooms and private family rooms. The hostel is ideal for groups or single travellers.

Ballater is a lovely village and is a good base for exploring the Eastern Cairngorms and rural Aberdeenshire.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the village and Ballater has an excellent selection of shops and activity providers
All our bedrooms are en suite ,ranging from eight bed dormitories,four bed family rooms,doubles to single accommodation.All bedding is included.
The hostel has a lovely sitting area with huge sofas, widescreen TV and a wood burning stove.
The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you need whether cooking for a small family or a large group.
The hostel also has free Wi-Fi and a good supply of books and games for rainy days or wintery evenings.
We have a great drying room with dehumidifier, washer and tumble dryer.
The hostel is fully wheelchair accessible.
We can provide travel cots, highchairs and baby monitors.
We have secure storage for cycles and motorbikes.
