A destination for all seasons, this small family run hotel is adjacent to Bowmore Harbour on the lovely hebridean island of Islay.
The Harbour Inn offers superb accommodation, high quality award winning food and excellent service.
As a base for touring Islay - described by the Lord of the Isles as - "the Jewel of the Hebrides" - the hotel's location is unique, with many areas of natural beauty within an easy drive.
Close to the Harbour Inn there are many unspoilt sandy beaches, washed clean by the relentless Atlantic surf.
Islay's wood and moorland offer some wonderful walking experiences, while at the same time giving you the opportunity of witnessing why Islay is regarded as one of the finest locations for wildlife in Britain.
All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are furnished to a very high standard.
One can relax in individually decorated, warm and comfortable rooms.
There is a choice of double (some with King size beds), twin or family rooms, with single occupancy subject to availability.
Each room has a direct dial telephone, colour television, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and those nice little touches that make you feel at home.
Our award winning restaurant is widely recommended. The menus feature the freshest of local produce from the Islay larder including: Game in Season; prime beef, succulent lamb; home made vegetarian dishes; seafood delivered directly from local fishermen.
The menu focuses on using this produce in new and innovative ways, for instance pairing two fine Scottish cheeses with two wonderful Islay malts to create 'The Harbour Inn Whisky and Cheese experience', and our wonderful Bowmore whisky homemade ice creams.
The hotel's full range of Islay single malt whiskies combine with the fine wine list to complete your "Taste of Islay" experience.
We also have a new addition to The Harbour Inn, The Inns Over By, our luxurious guest house by the loch complete with its own private conservatory which makes the ideal place to view the outstanding sunsets on Islay.
