Family run organic farmhouse B&B. En-suite rooms, (one with inter-connecting room). 5 mins from Jedburgh in a stunning valley location. Great walking, riding, cycling & ideal central location for touring the region. Afternoon tea inc on arrival
Harden Mains Farm is 3.5 miles out of the historic town of Jedburgh in the beautiful Oxnam Valley. We run an organic family farm producing cereals & lamb. We also have horses & keep a dozen hens who will provide your breakfast eggs. Opened in August 2012 the farmhouse offers bed & breakfast, with 2 spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities. One has an inter-connecting room too, perfect for friends or families.
Ideal for a peaceful rural break, Harden Mains is also within easy reach of Edinburgh & Newcastle, both around an hour's drive away.
Afternoon tea is included on arrival. Guests have a lounge with wood-burning stove, ideal for a quiet read or try out one of the board games. Dinner is available too by prior arrangement. There is acres of space outside for walking, cycling & horse-riding with excellent hacking around the farm & quiet roads to take you further afield & out into the hills. Or simply relax in our large garden with a good book.
Horses are welcome. There is plenty of parking, jet-wash facilities including an outdoor hot shower for dogs or horses, secure sheds for motorbikes, cycles & stabling/ horse paddocks, dogs can stay outdoors in kennels or in our dog room next to the kitchen. We offer dog-sitting if you wish to have a day away.
There is an indoor pool table, table tennis & dart board, outside we provide a trampoline & a goal post with plenty of space to burn off some energy. Packed lunches are available, transport to & from walks or cycle rides. Luggage transport to your next destination is offered for horse riders, cyclists or walkers.
We have a flexible approach to offering accommodation - just ask if you have special requirements & we'll do our best to meet them.
