The croft is an owner managed establishment in a very beautiful coastal location. You may relax in your own garden area or enjoy the four acres of peaceful croftland. Other attractions include Gwen the pet sheep and the old Celtic breed of Dexter cow and calf. There is open access to the surrounding countryside, an archealogical trail on the doorstep and one of the best beaches in the country within ten minutes walk.

Big Sand, aptly named by the Vikings, offer safe swimming and a quiet slipway for boating enthusiasts. There is local walking for every interest and ability, from coastal paths to the Torridonian giants, the lovely tracks of gentle Flowerdale to the all ability walks at Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve. You may enjoy river and loch angling sea fishing or simply relaxing in a home form home with views from every window. Big Sand is 3 miles from the amenities of Gairloch where restaurants specialise in fresh local produce. Local facilities include golfing, pony trekking, specialist boat trips with local marine wildlife experts, cycle hire and leisure centre. A day out to nearby Inverewe Gardens may also be on your agenda.
