    A trio of traditional farm cottages, standing in a peaceful spot, above the River Tweed, downstream from Kelso. Each sleeps up to 4 people, discounts for couples. Internet included. Dogs welcome. Suppers can be delivered too!

    The trio of Traditional Farm Cottages at Hendersyde stand in a peaceful elevated position, surrounded by walks, wildlife and wonderful views, over The Tweed Valley to The Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. 

    Hendersyde is our family farm, lying between the River Tweed and Eden Water, just 2 miles downstream from the delightful market town of Kelso, in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

    • Clean, comfy & well equipped, with central heating & cosy sitting room fires.
    • Each cottage sleeps up to 4 people, in a twin and double bed room.
    • Discounts for couples, if only one of the bed rooms is used.
    • Linen, towels, all fuel and Wi-Fi are included.
    • Delicious suppers can be delivered to your cottage door.
    • Well behaved dogs are welcome in West Cottage - £20 per dog
     
    The cottages are in walking distance of Kelso - which has to be one of Scotland's most attractive country towns!

    • Kelso is just over 2 miles away, standing on the junction of The River Tweed & Teviot Water.
    • The French-styled, cobbled market square is surrounded by a great selection local shops, galleries, places to eat and delightful river-side walks.
    • Kelso Farmers Market is on the fourth Saturday of the month.
    • There's always a buzz about the town with lots of events at The Border Union Show Ground and Floors Castle.
    • Kelso National Hunt Race Course & Kelso Golf Course - are at the end of the farm road, 
    • The River Tweed, world famous for salmon fishing is 2 fields away from the cottages!
    • Golf courses abound -The Roxburghe Championship Course is about four miles away.
    • The Hirsel Golf Course and Country Park are only 8 miles, at Coldstream

    We are very happy to welcome short breaks or longer - throughout the year! New in 2012 Millsyde sleeps 6 in three double bed rooms. Weekly bookings welcome generally Friday to Friday or short breaks beginning Friday, Monday or Tuesday, minimum stay 3 nights. Price range from £1200 discounted to £650 . More information on our web site. The traditional farm cottages are £520 discounted to £300 in the low season.     From Kelso Hendersyde is approximately 5 minutes drive. A698 towards Coldstream. 2 miles from Kelso turn left, sign post to Hendersyde Farm. The cottages are on the right at the top of the hill. Please call at the farm house

    From the nearest information centre:- From Kelso Tourist Information Centre approximately 5 minutes drive. A698 towards Coldstream. 2 miles from Kelso turn left, sign post to Hendersyde Farm. The cottages are on the right at the top of the hill. Please call at the farm house to collect your key.

    Getting there by railway:- From Berwick-upon-Tweed it is approximately 30 minutes drive to Hendersyde. Take A698 to Coldstream. Through Coldstream on the A697. Turn left A698 toward Kelso. After Birgham village, Hendersyde Farm is the 6th turn on the right! (count every road, the farm is sign posted!). The cottages are on the right at the top of the hill. Please call at the farm house to collect your key.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Edinburgh Airport is just over an hour away, from the airport follow signs for Edinburgh, then take the city by-pass - A720 then follow A68 signs towards Jedburgh. Take A697 at The Lodge at Carfrae round-about, A6089 to Kelso, then A698 towards Coldstream. 2 miles from Kelso turn left to Hendersyde Farm, the cottages are on the right at the top of the hill. From Glasgow follow signs to Edinburgh then as above. Please call at the farm house to collect your key.

    Getting there by ferry:- From Rosyth Edinburgh "see by directions by air". From Newcastle it is approximately 1.75 hours drive. A18 north to the A1. A697 through Coldstream, A698 towards Kelso. Take the 6th turn on the right after Birgham, which is sign posted, the farm is 0.5 miles from the A698, at the top of the hill. Please call at the farm house to collect your key.
