    From the nearest information centre:- From Portree tourist Information Centre, a 20 minute walk along the A87 road south direction Sligachan, or take a taxi. Heron Place is the first turning right after the National Benzole petrol station. Heronfield the last house but one overlooking Loch Portree

    Getting there by railway:- From Kyle of Lochalsh Station, cross the Skye Bridge taking main A87 via Broadford to Portree. Heron Place is the first left turn after the Aros Heritage Centre. Heronfield is the last house but one.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Inverness Airport, 135 miles via Loch Ness, Invermoriston, Glensheil, Kyle of Lochalsh, Skye Bridge through Broadford to Portree. Heron Place is the first left turn after the Aros Heritage Centre on entering the village on the main A87 road. Heronfield is the last but one house.
