Overview

There is a comfortable lounge with Free view TV and DVD; two double bedrooms; modern kitchen; shower room with large size shower cubicle. There is a restricted sea view from the wee top window.

The apartment is just a few minutes' walk to Restaurants with home cooked food; Tavern; a selection of Shops; picturesque Harbour with yachts; Beach. Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club is situated on Chanonry Point 15 mins walk away.
Chanonry Point with its lighthouse is well known as a viewing point for the Moray Firth dolphins which can often be seen close to shore or you may choose to go on a boat trip to see a variety of wild life.
Fortrose is an excellent location for sightseeing in the Highlands.
The Fortrose area
Fortrose is a small village on the Black Isle. It is famous for the Moray Firth Dolphins as featured on the Coast television programme. They can often be seen from Chanonry Point, with its lovely lighthouse. Fortrose is an interesting historic village with its 14th century cathedral; harbour with yachts and dinghies; Beach and Golf Course. Pony trekking and Quad Biking are available at Broomhill Farm, Fortrose. You might like to visit Groam House Pictish Museum, Rosemarkie; Cromarty Courthouse; Hugh Miller's Cottage; Black Isle Wildlife Park and Tore Art Gallery with local arts and crafts for sale; Avoch and Cromarty offer Dolphin and Seal boat trips. Bird watchers can enjoy seeing red kites, herons, oyster catchers, dunlins and many more.

The village has a good variety of shops and amenities; leisure centre, gym, library, co-op, chemist, butcher, bakers, fish and chip shop, antiques, jeweller, bank, post office, doctors' surgery, chocolatier, cafe, restaurants, pub which are all within a few minutes walk from the apartment.

There are some lovely local walks such as the Fairy Glen in Rosemarkie 2km away and the Hill Walk from where you can see panoramic views of the Moray Firth. You can walk along Rosemarkie beach to the caves. Check out Google Earth for lots of wonderful photos.
The Scottish Highlands
The Scottish Highlands are amazingly beautiful. We have Mountains, Lochs, Beaches and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits.
Inverness, the capital city of the Highlands, is 20 minutes from Fortrose and offers Shopping, Cinemas, Theatre, Museum; Art Gallery; 10 Pin Bowling, Golf Range, Parks, Ice Rink, Leisure Centre, Leisure Pool and Climbing Wall; great Night Life.

There are some unique and amazing places to visit such as Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness; Kincraig Wildlife park with its polar bear and tigers; the Cairngorms National Park where you can go to the top of the mountains on the Funicular Railway; Landmark Forest Play Park is a great day out for the kids; Culloden Battle field and Visitor Centre; Fort George military museum; Cawdor and Brodie Castles and Dunrobin with its birds of prey.
Fortrose is in a good location to go sightseeing all around the Highlands. It is 2½ hours by car to Durness on the North coast or Ullapool on the East coast.

Golfers have plenty of choice of excellent courses such as Royal Dornoch, Inverness, Rosemarkie, Tain etc.
