Highgarry Cottage is situated at the hub of our small working farm, and along with the farmhouse was built in 1868 and was part of the vast Ellice family estate.
It was used to house the Deer Hounds and other hunting dogs when they were not being worked out on the estate by the Stalker/Game keeper who lived in the farmhouse. It has had many uses over the last 140 years until it's conversion to a self catering cottage in 1994.

The front porch of the cottage leads into a comfortable lounge, with satellite TV/ DVD. The spacious well equipped kitchen is large enough to accommodate 4 people. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and the other a twin, bathroom with bath and shower. The Cottage comes with all the usual accessories associated with a 4 star STB rated self catering cottage including all bed linen and towels.

We are a small working farm with a fine selection of friendly animals all of which wander freely about the farm and love to be fed. There are chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks and more. We also have Cally and Tess our two Shetland ponies, and a number of sheep.

For 2014 the Lambs are due to be born from around the second week in April.

With views across Glengarry to the surrounding mountains and pine forests, our small working Hill farm offers peace and tranquillity in an idyllic rural location well away from any major roads, and is an ideal base for a family holiday or a couple looking to get away from it all, yet still wanting to be centrally placed for the major tourist attractions in the area and touring the Western Highlands. Fort William and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. To the east is Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Drive or cruise the length of Loch Ness to Inverness, the capital city of the Highlands, or you could visit the Isle of Skye taking in the breathtaking scenery along the way. This too can easily be accessed from Ardgarry Farm.

Invergarry is a village steeped in history and lies at the East end of Glengarry. Local services include a hotel, post office, petrol station/shop, cafe & visitor centre.

An abundance of wild life exists in and around Invergarry, including several types of deer, pine marten, wild cat, many species of birds and more. Glengarry forest is just 10 minutes walk from Ardgarry Farm.

The forest has a good selection of well defined walks taking in waterfalls and the River Garry, which is regularly used for white water rafting and kayaking.

The Great Glen Way passes through the village and we are ideally located for hill or long distance walking and cycling. Most other outdoor pursuits can be accessed locally and a Water Sports centre is just 5 km away.
