Close proximity to some of Scotland's finest golf courses including Royal Troon (5 mins) & Turnberry(1 hour). There are also a further 8 municipal golf courses in the area where day passes can be arranged , further information can be obtained by contacting www.golfsouthayrshire.com. We have a special rate available to guests wishing to make use of some of south ayrshire's golf courses; Belleisle, Seafield, Dalmilling, Troon Lochgreen, Troon Darley, Troon Fullarton, Maybole and Girvan this can be arranged prior to your visit.

We are situated only 5 minutes drive from Prestwick Airport and a 10 minute drive from Troon Station. We are situated close to all major road links with all major road links both south to Dumfires and Galloway and North to Glasgow and Loch Lomond or further to Edinburgh which is an easy day trip to make.

As well as a great destination for golfers this is a great area for families; there are many parks and places of historic interest within easy reach. Kelburn Country Park can be found to the north near the coastal town of Largs only 30 mnutes from the bungalow. Loudon Castle , Family Theme Park near Galston is only a 30 minute journey. A trip to the centre of Glasgow is only 40 minutes by car or alternatively you could travel by train from Troon Station.

Ayrshire is well known as the birthplace of Robert Burns and there are many sites of interest which can be visited using Hillcrest as your base e.g.Burns Cottage in Alloway.

A perfect location for golfers, cyclists and walkers.
