The ideal place for a family holiday, a group of friends or a couple to take a break in the countryside and yet experience our capital city of Edinburgh. The 2 holiday cottages are in a converted, traditional farm building and sleep between 2 and 6 people. Log burning stoves and private gardens mean it is the ideal place to unwind.
Hunter Holiday Cottages is on a working farm in the beautiful countryside of Midlothian, near Edinburgh. The holiday cottages are perfect for a rural holiday in the peace of the countryside and yet so near Edinburgh too.
The 2 holiday cottages sleep between 4 and 6 people each so are ideal for a family holiday. Children will love the open space of the countryside and the appeal of the working farm while adults relax in the private gardens with BBQs and outdoor seating. Pets are welcome and you can even bring your own horse!
The holiday cottages are extremely comfortable self-catering cottages, furnished to a high standard and complete with attractive and well equipped kitchens. In the winter you will enjoy relaxing by the wood burning stove and in summer the conservatory in Carrick Cottage and the private gardens of both are perfect for a relaxing holiday.
As Kyle Cottage is specially designed with disabled access in mind it means that the cottages really are suitable for all .
The situation of the cottages is perfect for exploring Midlothian and the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh. 8 golf courses, many types of fishing, horse riding and pony trekking are all close by. Rosslyn Chapel and the many historic houses and castles will provide many adventures. For keen walkers, the Pentland Hills provide spectacular Scottish scenery and Glentress is a world renowned mountain biking course.
