    Welcome to some Orcadian hospitality at Inganess Lodge....a luxury three bedroom cottage overlooking the stunning Inganess bay with its silvery sand & shipwreck.

    ....a luxury three bedroom cottage built in a rural elevated position overlooking the stunning Inganess Bay with its silvery sand & shipwreck a great area for wildlife birds flowers & walking.

    Although situated in a rural area Inganess Lodge is close to all amenities & is only 0.5miles from the Kirkwall town boundary and 1.8miles from the town centre where you can find the Earls Palace, Bishops Palace & the famous St Magnus Cathedral.

    Surrounded by farmland the dry stone dykes have been restored adding traditional Orcadian character which is also a feature of the stone built frontage of the house. Access is gained through a private driveway with a spacious turning & parking area to the east side of the house.

    Finished to an extremely high standard the property has oil fired central heating & oak floors throughout.
    The large homely living area has a beautiful solid oak kitchen with top of the range built in appliances.
    A large dining table & six chairs is situated opposite the French doors that open onto a furnished patio where you can spend time with family & friends watching the sunrise over Inganess Bay.
    The corner sofa & separate chairs offer a place to relax & take in the beautiful views from the living area.

    After a busy day sight seeing why not relax in our luxurious bathroom with its double ended whirlpool bath, & separate shower. Luxuries such as a heated tiled floor, heated steam free mirror & feature lighting make your time at Inganess Lodge more comfortable.

    There are three bedrooms in Inganess lodge, 1 King size, 1 twin & 1 single that converts to a twin as required. All with built in wardrobes, wall mounted LCD tvs, CD clock radios & feature lighting.

    Outside there is a large garden, a well lit furnished patio area, drying green and spacious store ideal for bikes, fishing equipment & drying wet walking coats etc.

    OPEN ALL YEAR. Arrival time from 3pm. Checkout by 10am.

    Road Directions

    From Stromness Ferry Terminal. Take the A965 signposted to Kirkwall (approximately 14 miles) at the large roundabout turn into Pickaquoy Road past the Esso filling station on your left then sports Centre on your right, turn right at mini roundabout then first left into Clay Loan. At top of hill turn right into Bignold Park Road. Take the second left into Inganess Road. Carry on right to the top of the hill past Quoydandy farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.

    From the nearest information centre:- From Kirkwall Tourist Information centre. go out on to Junction Road, turn left on to Castle Street Turn right along Broad Street, past the Cathedral and turn left into Palace Road. Continue up hill into Dundas Crescent and Bignold Park Road after around ¾ mile from Cathedral turn left into Inganess Road. Carry on right to the top of the hill past Quoydandy farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- British Airways (UK) either from Wick, Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Sumburgh (Shetland) to Kirkwall (Orkney). Contact www.ba.com

    From Kirkwall Airport Turn right onto the A960 heading towards Kirkwall take the first right then right again into Inganess Road, carry on past Quoydandy Farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.
