Road Directions
From Stromness Ferry Terminal. Take the A965 signposted to Kirkwall (approximately 14 miles) at the large roundabout turn into Pickaquoy Road past the Esso filling station on your left then sports Centre on your right, turn right at mini roundabout then first left into Clay Loan. At top of hill turn right into Bignold Park Road. Take the second left into Inganess Road. Carry on right to the top of the hill past Quoydandy farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.Public Transport Directions
From the nearest information centre:- From Kirkwall Tourist Information centre. go out on to Junction Road, turn left on to Castle Street Turn right along Broad Street, past the Cathedral and turn left into Palace Road. Continue up hill into Dundas Crescent and Bignold Park Road after around ¾ mile from Cathedral turn left into Inganess Road. Carry on right to the top of the hill past Quoydandy farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.Getting there by aeroplane:- British Airways (UK) either from Wick, Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Sumburgh (Shetland) to Kirkwall (Orkney). From Kirkwall Airport Turn right onto the A960 heading towards Kirkwall take the first right then right again into Inganess Road, carry on past Quoydandy Farm. Inganess Lodge is the last house on the right hand side just before you get to the beach.
