Picture of Innis Chonain at the foot of Ben Lora

Overview

It nestles at the base of Ben Lora where forest walks lead to magnificent views of Morven, the Isles of Lismore and Mull and the Lynn of Lorne. A five minute walk brings you to the well known beach of Tralee. The main A828 is close by which makes Ben Nevis, Fort William and Glencoe easily accessible. Benderloch is a good stopping off place when planning to travel further north. Within 2 miles there are five restaurants.

Oban, the gateway to the Scottish Inner and Outer Hebrides' is only 7 miles to the south where there are shops, restaurants, supermarkets and leisure facilities. There are many places in the area to visit, including The Sealife centre, distillery, castles ,and the Glencoe Visitor centre There is a cycle route nearby and Oban airport is just along the road. For the water enthusiasts, there is diving, canoeing, kayaking, fishing as well as just strolling along the many beaches. In Oban there are many sea life trips to try. The scenery of the area is well worth the visit. Innis Chonain is owned and run by Margaret and David Adams, and is open all year round. We offer a warm welcome to all guests. Our objective is to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, 'A HOME FROM HOME'. We want all our guests to feel comfortable and ready to go off and explore the region at their leisure. We offer a varied breakfast menu which includes the ever popular full Scottish breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms. Two of our rooms are en suite and the third has a private bathroom. All the rooms have TV, hairdryer, and a "Welcome Tray", to enable you to make that always wanted cup of tea or coffee. The house benefits from central heating to add to the 'warmth' factor and is networked for the internet. We welcome visitors from all over the world.
