The Skye Bridge is now free to cross, making Inver Rose the perfect four star base for Skye, Kintail and Wester Ross. The picturesque villages of Plockton and Balmacara are nearby. The Torridon, Cuillin, Kintail and Glen Shiel Mountains are all within easy reach, as is the Kylerhea Otter Haven, Iron Age brochs at Glenelg, Talisker Distillery, Isle of Skye Brewery, Dunvegan Castle, the Eilean Donan Castle, and much more. Inverness, Fort William or the Outer Hebrides can easily be visited in a day trip from Kyleakin.

Inver Rose has over 1/3 acre of private garden, a large well-equipped kitchen / Dining Room with Die Dietrich Induction hob, Electric Ovens, Dishwasher, TV/VCR. The sizeable lounge (20ft by 12ft), has comfortable new suites seating six. The heating and hot water system has been upgraded for 2004, as has the bathroom, which has been fully retiled, with new bath w/c and shower. (For further details see establishment facilities).
The lounge, bedroom and garden have panoramic views over Kyleakin village and the 14th Century Castle Moil to the Sea, Loch Alsh, Loch Duich and the Kintail Mountains on the mainland.
The house is half a mile from Kyleakin, which has shops, restaurants, bars and a bakery. A wider range of facilities can be found across the bridge in the Kyle of Lochalsh, including a swimming pool and golf course. Crossing the bridge is a pleasant walk; alternatively, a shuttle bus crosses the frequently during the day (Stagecoach Bus service 51). The bus stops at the end of the road, 300m from Inver Rose. Various boat trips leave from Kyleakin and Kyle of Lochalsh to see local marine wildlife and shipwrecks. There are many woodland walks in the area.
