Kimberley House

Overview

The rooms are all very spacious and have private facilities, several having magnificent sea views. There is also ample private off street parking. Kimberley House is an imposing mansion house built in the late 1800's for private use. It was then gifted to the town and became the Maternity Hospital for the area for many years and was converted to its present use in 1997.

The Building sits in its own grounds in an elevated position above the town. This provides not only privacy but magnificent views of the Town, Oban bay and the islands beyond.

The bedrooms have either king size sleigh beds or super king size four poster beds for that added luxury. The two four poster rooms have additional seating area within the tower at the corner of the house which provide magnificent panoramic views. The top tower room is extremely quirky as the sleeping area is actually within the spire of the tower and would appeal to all those romantics out there.
Each room is equipped with TV, Tea coffee making facilities and seating within the room.

Throughout the house there are individual seating areas where you can sit and read a book or plan the next day's adventure.

Breakfast is served in t he conservatory which looks out over the patio to the sound of Mull. The Breakfasts are well documented in our visitor's book and Valerie is especially complemented for her home made clootie dumpling. As well as the traditional Scottish breakfast there is a wide variety of fruit cereals yoghurt and cheeses with additional vegetarian choices Kippers and smoked haddock
