This attractive 18th century detached house, once used as the Post Office for Gretna Green, has been beautifully restored to offer you a relaxing stay and an ideal base for touring.
From Kirkcroft it is only a short walk to the popular wedding venues of Anvil Hall and the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop - the ancient building that made Gretna Green famous by marrying runaway couples who were fleeing to marry in the area.
This is an ideal base for those wanting to discover the region's fairways, with golf courses in Dumfries, Annan and Carlisle and for those who enjoy fishing, the rivers Esk and Annan are nearby.
If you fancy a day exploring, head west to the lovely Galloway coast and the historic town of Dumfries which enjoys links to Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns.
