Knight's Rest

A Victorian villa built in 1886, Knight's Rest is the closest Bed & Breakfast or Guesthouse accommodation to Airdrie town centre, putting local shops, bars and dining facilities within easy walking distance.

Less than ten minutes walk to the train station allows convenient access to the shopping and cultural delights of friendly Glasgow and, with the M8 and other major roads close at hand, Stirling and Edinburgh are also readily accessible. Strathclyde Country Park, Summerlee Heritage Centre and the unique, not-to-be-missed Falkirk Wheel are but a few of the nearby tourist attractions within easy reach. 28 miles from Edinburgh airport and 24 from Glasgow Airport, we are an ideally situated base for exploring central Scotland or as a rest-halt on the journey north. Demonstrating the long tradition of Scottish hospitality, guests receive a warm, informative welcome in the tartan-carpeted hall and are given their own keys allowing access at all times. Each cosy, centrally heated room in this immaculately presented guesthouse enjoys an en-suite shower room, complimentary hospitality tray, radio alarm and colour TV. A hairdryer and ironing facilities are available on request. Off-street parking is private. In line with current legislation, we operate a strict no-smoking policy.

Breakfasts are as substantial as selected from the menu, and freshly prepared to order by Jess. Guests at their individual tables soon pick up clues in the dining room as to the unique, interesting and widely travelled history of the owners.

That so many discerning folk return often, demonstrates the great pride Jess takes in maintaining her reputation of providing excellent value in a spotlessly clean, comfortable and homely atmosphere, ensuring that no guest is ever less than totally satisfied.

Open all year except during the Christmas and New Year period.
