    Kringla Apartments are located in the friendly village of Dounby and are in a central position for exploring the historic and archaeological sites and the exciting wildlife.  Local shop, petrol station, hotel, butcher, pharmacy and play park are only a 2 minute walk away.

    Kringla is situated a short distance from the “Heart of Neolithic Orkney”, a UNESCO world heritage site, including Skara Brae, Maes Howe, the Standing Stones of Stenness, Ring o’ Brodgar and the recently uncovered Ness o’ Brodgar. Whether you are interested in archaeology, WW2, photography, walking, fishing, shooting, bird-watching or seeking peace and quiet, Kringla is in the ideal location. These state-of the art apartments are the perfect place for you to recoup your energy and enjoy all that Orkney has to offer.

    Kringla consists of three beautiful apartments, which have been designed and lovingly furnished with comfort in mind. These new apartments sleep four or five and you are guaranteed a soothing and peaceful nights sleep, as you relax on beds with quality mattresses.  Each apartment is equipped to a high standard, it is centrally heated with its own shower room, kitchen/dining area and lounge.  The lounge with its flat screen TV is the perfect place to kick off your shoes after a day of exploration in the fresh Orkney air.  

    With over 25 years of experience in self catering, we aim to make our visitors feel relaxed and welcome.  We are always happy to provide local advice and suggest places of interest.

    Ideal location for a cycling holiday as the local shop, butcher, pharmacy and hotel are only a 2 minute walk from the apartments.  Dounby is on a crossroads so there are lots of circular routes which would be ideal to explore on a bicycle. Bicycles can be hired locally and be delilvered to Kringla by prior arrangement.
