    The Lagg hotel is one of the oldest established hotels on the Isle of Arran and has been serving the public since 1791. It has retained its traditional charm inside and out.

    Guests can dine in style with relaxed informality in The Restaurant, as they look out over the river and gardens. You can also eat a pub lunch or dinner in the bar, or enjoy a cream tea in the Lagg Hotel gardens. The same menu is available.

    Our chefs serve a selection of well cooked dishes ranging from pub classics such as Freshly Battered Haddock to more sophisticated dishes such as Confit duck with puy lentils, smoked bacon and swede chips.

    All our dishes are prepared using only the freshest and finest ingredients, sourced from local suppliers where possible.

    The Lagg Hotel provides the perfect setting for a wedding celebration on the Isle of Arran. We have a licence to hold civil marriage ceremonies either in the hotel or in the gardens of the hotel. There is a church 5 minutes from the Hotel.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From Brodick TIC either take bus or by car turn left out of Harbour and stay on A841 straight to Lagg.
    Take south Arran bus via Whiting Bay. Lagg Hotel is approximately 45 min by bus and is on the main road. Bus driver can assist.

    Getting there by railway:- Glasgow Central Station to Ardrossan Harbour - 54 minutes. Trains depart from Glasgow Central to meet each ferry connection to Brodick.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Glasgow Prestwick International Airport. Take train to Glasgow Central get off at Kilwinning where you can pick up connecting train to Ardrossan Harbour. Alternatively you can take a taxi from the airport. On reaching Brodick, take south Arran bus via Whiting Bay. Lagg Hotel is approximately 45 min by bus and is on the main rd. Bus driver can assist.

    Getting there by ferry:- Caledonian MacBrayne operate the ferry services to Arran from Ardrossan Harbour on the Ayrshire coast and from Clonaig on the Kintyre coast, near the fishing town of Tarbert.

    Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries - Island Hopscotch tickets are available which can reduce ferry costs if travelling to more than one Scottish island. We advise guests to make car reservations as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially during the busy summer months.
