Leckmelm Holiday Cottages

Family and pet friendly holiday cottages run by the same family for over 50 years set on a...

Family and pet friendly holiday cottages run by the same family for over 50 years set on a picturesque traditionally run farm near Ullapool The Leckmelm Holiday Cottages are set amongst the magnificent surroundings of a traditionally run Highland Estate. Located 3 miles south of the thriving village of Ullapool where one can take a ferry to the Isles, dine on freshly caught seafood or enjoy an evening of traditional Scottish music; Leckmelm also provides an ideal touring base for the Highlands and Islands with Skye, Inverness and John O' Groats all within driving distance.

Leckmelm House is a magnificent Villa set on the edge of the Estate larch forest and is very peaceful and secluded.  It sleeps 4 in a king sized and twin bedroom and a further zed bed can be hired for a child if required.  The reception rooms are a fantastic size with games table, 50 inch flatscreen tv and sofas, the kitchen, dining and utility rooms are very spacious and can seat up to 6 at the dining table.  The house has a bathroom with spa bath and a shower room both with wcs.  There is an incoming phone line and free WIFI.

Lochside Cottages are right next to Loch Broom on the fringe of our traditionally run Farm.  The houses are traditional outside, but inside very modern and bright with underfloor heating throughout.  Open plan living areas with open fires and unrivalled views of the nature of the loch.  You may see otters, porpoises, herons and even the odd Highland Cow.  Numbers 1 and 3 have a double and twin room and sleep 4, number 2 has a double and two twins and sleeps 6.  The houses are popular with singles, families and even groups of people who want to holiday together, but have the privacy of their own space.

The estate has a number of good walks, forest, shoreline and hill and you can walk to the famous Leckmelm Gardens from the Lochside Cottages.  Pets are welcome as are children and at the farm there are a few toy tractors to play on in the walled garden adjacent to Lochside Cottages.  We can also give you contact details for reliable and trusted babysitters that we have used for our own children if you are coming with young family.
