Stonebuilt croft house, newly renovated and extended, now a spacious family eco-home, overlooking sea-loch, quarter mile from village with shops, inn and marina. Underfloor heating, open fire, 2 glazed seating areas, piano. Walking from the door.
Our traditional holiday house is now a comfortable and spacious eco-home, with air-source heat-pump, solar thermal panels and underfloor heating in public spaces and 2 of the 4 bedrooms.
At the top of a steep track, away from traffic, our house commands stunning views. From the stone-slabbed terrace, the cosy sunroom or the glazed link with dining table you can enjoy watching the birds, the boats and the ever-changing sky.
We have not compromised on fitting the most up-to-date equipment including extra fridge storage, an induction cooker, eco-laundry equipment and a wood-burning stove in case of power-cuts.
Ardfern is a lively village with many artists and craftspeople. It has a good village shop, a pub/restaurant and cafe-cum-craft shop. The award-winning museum in nearby Kilmartin explains how important and well-populated this area once was.
There are plenty of walks that can be taken from the house itself, throughout the Craignish Peninsula and beyond. There is excellent child-friendly cycling within the Peninsula, too.
Our property covers 2.5 acres, and includes our Bothy, a stone-built studio building which we use ourselves and also rent out for workshops—drama, art, crafts, music, yoga etc. See the page on our website.
