Don and Nita offer you a warm welcome at Leumadair Guest House in the village of Callanish, Isle of Lewis, on a working croft (Small Farm) where we carry on the tradition of working the land and raising animals.
We keep Highland Cattle, Gloucester Old Spot Pigs free-range hens, and four horned Hebridean sheep. Croft-made smoked bacon, sausages (made to Nita’s secret recipe, when she can find her recipe book) and free range eggs are served at breakfast complimented by the local Stornoway black pudding, a range of continental breakfast items are also available
Leumadair Gaelic for ‘dolphin ’ is within sight of the famous Callanish (Calanais) Stones, which can be seen from most of the bedroom windows
The Guest House accommodation is spacious and comfortable; there is a warm friendly atmosphere, and Don is very happy to share his wealth of local knowledge and anecdotes we have facilities for Families Anglers, Walkers, Cyclists those with impaired mobility, those with pets and anyone else that wants to appreciate the peace and tranquillity of our historic and beautiful island
All our rooms are en-suite.

Tariff starts from £40:00 per person per night based on two people sharing reduced rates for children and longer stays
There is no TV but Wi-Fi is available for those who really want to contact the outside world
In addition we offer Hawk experience sessions, which should be pre-booked. These allow you to have first hand experience with our Harris Hawks and our Barn Owl,
