Overview

Linkshouse is and Edwardian house which has been refurbished to a high standard yet still retaining many of the orginal features. It was orginally built in 1913 as a family home and also used as a Guest House where the gentry of Kirkwall and Stromness came for their summer holidays. Situated over looking the village of Birsay, which is the North West corner of Mainland Orkney, there are unrivalled sea views of Birsay Bay, the Brough of Birsay and Marwick Head.

The accommodation comprises of a comfortable double and twin room, both with new en-suite facilities. Both rooms have tea and coffee making tray and other little extras to make your stay memorable.

In addition, there is a guest sitting room withTV, books, maps and plenty of local information also a small gazebo to while away your time.

Breakfast is served in the dining room which has a traditional atmosphere with stone flag floors. Guests can choose from a comprehensive menu including meat, fish or vegetarian. Only the best ingrediants are used and when available local and organic produce.
